Max Creates a Coastal Resort at Home with Cantilever Umbrellas
Coastal living in New Jersey is defined by comfortable family areas, places that can be enjoyed all day and furniture like cantilever pool umbrellas that enhance the summer season.
When Max and his family finished building their dream home along the Atlantic coast – complete with a pool, a pier and a jacuzzi to enjoy, they needed a shade solution for their area, one which would deliver that resort-at-home atmosphere they were looking for.
A retreat for the whole family
We worked with Max to create a space where his choice of umbrella balance natural landscaping and plantings, multiple activity areas and spectacular ocean views.
“The umbrellas have been a tremendous asset. They look great. I feel like I'm at a Four Seasons Resort, and they've been operating. Well, they are, easy to put up and easy to put down."

These were placed at the seaward side of the property, allowing them to take full advantage of the modular shade of the pool, Jacuzzi as well as place the loungers
“We looked at several brands. Shadowspec appeared to be the one that was easy to operate. That was going to be able to be, mounted in ground and could rotate in various directions for us. Now that we've been here, this is our second season. we've been enjoying using them, while we were in our Jacuzzi.”

“We enjoy having our family around us. So, we've designed an outdoor space that has multiple areas. Certainly, the umbrella around the pool is, the most popular... we also have a fire pit on the other side of our activity area.”

“I would add is that the Shadowspec umbrellas have really enhanced our home, enhanced our enjoyment of the home, and greatly enhanced our outside experience, which is where the family like to spend most of our time.”

“Many of the other companies are built to order. they're made from, different materials that I feared would deteriorate over time. The Shadowspec product is, completely aluminum. it is, not salt resistant, but it's easily cleaned and maintained. and I thought it would be the best overall product for our, needs at this location.”
